Most other postal service’s prices have increased also including Priority Mail ($4.60 for one pound starting May 14th vs. $4.05 previously) and Express Mail ($16.25 for 8 oz. P.O. to addressee starting May 14th vs. 14.40 previously).

There are several ways to undergo having to pay more because of the Postal Service’s price hikes in the future.
You can buy what’s called a Forever Stamp. It is a First-Class One Ounce Letter Stamps that can be used FOREVER. This way, even if prices increase again, you could still use Forever Stamps, no matter what price you bought them at.
Pay on-line. Nowadays, most bills can be paid on-line. By doing so, you are not only saving 41 cents, but also saving the time that is spend on doing the bills. Find out from your banks, credit card companies, and utilities companies how you can pay on-line.
Use e-mail.Three out of four Americans have access to the internet. That means that most of your friends, family, and acquaintances do. If you are the one who is still writing old-fashioned paper letters, it’s time to move on to the world wide web. E-mail letters get transferred in a matter of seconds and don’t cost you anything at all.
Fax is also a way to transfer information. Advantage of the fax is when you need a proof of the sent document. You can get a “return receipt” when using a fax.
Once again. Make sure to remember, starting May 14th, First-Class Stamp is 41 cents!!
